To continue the furnishing theme at home and add some much needed sound quality, I recently sourced this Braun TS45 + L450 via eBay I had a casing made to hold it on the wall and keep all the wiring out of sight as well as the added Airport to allow the streaming of digital radio etc.

The remade jackets were one of my first introductions to Needles, when I first viewed the brand at Nepethenes in NYC, its taken me a few years since then to make a purchase, mainly due to not being in NYC very often to look at the line in the flesh, the line is a firm favourite of mine right now, its quirky and simply brilliant. the shawl collar jacket I have here is remade from military garments , mostly in fact of pockets from military garments pushing something quite classic beyond expectations.

I have been looking for one of the Soloist x EG jackets for a while now after missing out on the only other one I had seen for sale earlier this year, produced in mixed fabrics and I believe as part of the F11 collection, and what I would assume to be either a grocerystore and or nepethenes jp exclusive.

Carbon dyed japanese jersey aviator from MA+,I recently picked up this up and have been wearing quite a lot , while I still am getting use to the extreme short cut of the Aviator style I am starting to love it especially once combined with trousers from MA+ which this winter have been my general go to in either the denim or japanese jersey.

After quite a bit of deliberation I picked up this knit from Yohji Yamamoto from LN-CC, for me what they have achieved in the past few seasons with the store is fantastic, a bold buying structure across both mens and womens collections the best thing about the buying and presentation of the store is how the collections are brought to seemingly express a overall vision rather than a singular vision for each brand, its refreshing and enjoyable to view an online retailer that is more than just a collection of brands.Long may it continue.

It’s been a great month for books, Osti as posted last week and this week saw the arrival of the much awaited Stone Island Archive book and the amazing gift of Hiroshi and Jun’s let it rock collection which is simply incredible, no words just page after page of gear, in these 3 books I think I will be hard pushed to find much better, I wish more brands took this ‘product’ approach in their publishing pursuits.

A couple of nice boxes on my desk this morning, one from the team at Converse with these PurplexAndre chucks, a classic with some simple additions can’t go wrong really, and in the other box an arrival from Oki-Ni with the Adidas x Soloist Basket Profi which I have been waiting to surface for a while,nice material simple details and as a rare treat for me no fit issues on this shape as usually my feet do not get along with adidas lasts.

I commissioned furniture maker Dean Edmonds (http://deanedmonds.co.uk/) to make me a table and bench set for my office (front room) I always wanted to have something very natural in the room to work against the other furniture which is quite clinical, so the raw cut of oak made perfect sense to match with the floor, the metal work for the base brings it to life for me and ties it to the room.

A new arrival from a past collection, layered suede and jersey jacket from ‘the soloist’ I love the layered pieces from Takahiro Miyashita the sheer complexity of the work in these is just huge, and mix of materials is very considered with every piece having the comfort of a pair of pyjamas, you cannot beat it.
