Continuing on the sports footwear tip of my last post, 2 new arrivals this week,both of these shoes alluded me at first, the 1993 Huarache light is a style I have loved since I first came across it in the very late 90s and I briefly had the retro of this colour way but sizing was not right and they went on their way, after several missed opportunities on Ebay I finally tracked a pair down in japan of all places and made the jump, the details on the original just trump the retro for me,the fat belly swoosh and translucent lacing system just make these that bit more special.Second up is the Nike FlyKnit HTM, the first shoe release I have braved a line up for in several years, but they looked so good they drew me back in to my old ways, the queuing was a waste of time and I left empty handed on release (for the blue racers) and have been scouring Ebay since for a uk 11 to appear in any of the 3 styles, I finally got a pair on the weekend and they were hand delivered to me on Monday,they are simply awesome, on each look you notice more in the knitted pattern, this range of HTM releases is going to leave a big hole in my pocket these coming months, hopefully the next round will be more retail friendly so I don’t have to resort to the darkside again.
