-WEEKEND-
Following on from last Thursday’s premiere of ‘Lets get lost’ this weekend I enjoyed two more trips to see some of Bruce Weber’s cinematography, Saturday at the Curzon in Soho was the airing of 5 shorts from 87-2007 what made this hour all the more wonderful was the attendance of some of the members from the ‘Teddy boys of the Edwardian drape society’ each film in the collection was equally captivating my personal favourite was ‘The Beauty Brothers’ collection of shorts each one just felt so good, I loved this collection of shorts and I don’t think I saw a person leaving the screening without a grin on there face. Today I went to the Renoir in the Brunswick centre to see ‘Broken Noses’ Bruce Weber’s first film on pro lightweight boxer Andy Minsker and his small Portland boxing club. I wish I was a better writer to describe better how much I enjoyed this weekends films, but I’m not so if you haven’t seen them and have the opportunity to do so you will not be disappointed.
