I found this first edition of Richard Kern’s New York girls a few weeks ago and it finally dropped through my letterbox this morning in fantastic condition for a book published over 10 years ago. Featuring imagery shot in Kern’s New York apartments between 1979 and 1995, the girls although not born and bread new Yorkers all lived in Manhattan at some time and were New York girls by Kern’s definition “they all became New Yorkers by spending time in the downtown scene looking for fun”
